The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District Wellness Committee plans, promotes and implements a culture of well-being among our employees to encourage a happy and healthy lifestyle. From fitness challenges to mental health resources, we’re building a culture that puts people first. Because caring for our team isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s how we create a stronger, more connected school community.
As we settle into the heart of spring, it's the perfect time to audit our habits and make space for new growth. This week, we’re focusing on trading digital fatigue for physical energy. Whether you're looking to clear your mental fog or hit a new personal best on the pavement, we’ve got you covered.
The Screentime Challenge- Starts May 1st
Our screens provide endless connection, but they can also fragment our focus and disrupt our sleep.
The Goal: Complete the 13 challenges and turn your paper into your building rep. Find it here.
Why take the challenge?
Better Sleep: Blue light inhibits melatonin. Giving your eyes a break helps you fall asleep faster.
Mental Clarity: Reducing "scroll-induced" dopamine spikes helps lower evening anxiety.
Presence: Use that hour to read, journal, or talk with a loved one without a device in hand.
Pro Tip: Charge your phone in a different room tonight to avoid the "one last scroll" temptation!
Over the next 10 months, we’ll be rolling out The Lift Project—a flexible journey to boost your well-being. Each month brings a new theme, paired with simple actions, mini challenges, wellness programs, community events, virtual keynotes, and practical activities you can actually use. Sign up by the end of October and be entered into a raffle for a prize. Ready to jump in? REGISTER HERE.
