Welcome to the World War I Site!
You and your group mates will conduct brief research on one of the topics that you see on the pages within the left navigation.
During research consider:
- What are the most interesting elements of your topic? (is there anything shocking, humorous, unknown/mysterious?)
- Did racism or ethnocentrism (an idea that your own group or culture is better or more important than others) infiltrate the event? If so, how?
- Did the event impact other events ...within the era? ...after the era? ...continue to impact the world today?
- Utilize the primary sources to better understand the personal impact the event had upon people's lives. Consider the purpose and audience for each primary source (was it written for public or private view? might there be bias? would other accounts likely say similar or differing things?)
You will follow the daily schedule on the Assignment Expectations page.
It is highly suggested that you use the resources linked within this site, however you are not required to use them. You are required to utilize and cite sites that are of high quality and offer unique attributes and elements, within.
