At the top of this site, you will be able to navigate to the Assignment Expectations page and the Resources page along with this Home page.
Under Assignment Expectations, you will see a copy of the assignment handout given to you by your teacher.
Additionally, you will see thesis statement resources. There is a slideshow to help you create a thesis statement, and a sheet that models how you can develop your thesis statement. Your teacher will also grade you against a thesis statement rubric which is embedded into the assignment handout.
Next, you will see outline resources. There is an outline worksheet which you are to complete along with a model example of a filled out worksheet. Your teacher will also grade you against an outline rubric which is embedded into the assignment handout.
Afterwards, you will see citations resources. There is a slideshow that helps you to understand how to parenthetically cite within your paper, links to NoodleTools and Purdue OWL. You will also be graded against a citations rubric (embedded within the assignment handout).
You will also see a link to NoodleTools and Purdue OWL, which will help you to properly cite your sources and organize your research into an outline and note cards.
Next you will see an embedded handout on presentations which may help you while creating your presentation. The presentation rubric is also embedded into the assignment handout.
Finally, you will see example student projects of various quality.
Note: For this project you will be graded against five rubrics: The informative essay rubric (100 points total), the thesis statement rubric (10 points total), the outline rubric (10 points total), the citations rubric (10 points total), and finally a presentation rubric (40 points total). All of these rubrics are embedded into the assignment handout
