On this site:
- At the top of this site, you will be able to navigate to the Assignment Expectations page and the Resources page along with this Home page.
- Under Assignment Expectations, you will see the project expectations and specifications.
- Next, there is a calendar of assignments and planned class work.
- You will also be able to view scholarly journal resources. There is a Q&A to help you learn about this skill, a graphic organizer to help you extract useful information from the article that you use, and a scholarly journal rubric that will be used to grade how well you have filled out your scholarly graphic organizer (20 points total.)
- Next, you will see annotated bibliography resources. There is a Q&A to help you learn about this skill, a quick start guide that you can use to help you write your annotations, an annotated bibliography rubric (which will be used to grade your annotated bibliography (50 points total.) , and a side by side example of two annotated bibliography entries and feedback about how well they have written their annotations.
- Following, there are additional resources that are there to help you with writing, as needed.
- Underneath, you will see a rough draft checklist to check your writing against prior to turning in your final draft.
- Finally, there is an Informational Writing Rubric that totals 20 points, however the final grade will be multiplied by three to give you a total of 60 points possible for your written paper.
- Please note: for this project, you will also create a presentation for an additional grade for your teacher.
- Under Resources, you will be able to link to hand-picked primary sources, articles (secondary analysis), scholarly journal articles (you MUST use one scholarly journal article in your research and one primary source) along with three additional sources of your choosing. You are not required to use the hand-selected sources, but it is highly advised that you do.
