New PALCS Scholarships for Class of 2026!
The Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School is proud to offer several internal scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors. These scholarships recognize students for their academic achievements, leadership, character, perseverance, service, and commitment to their future goals.
Mx. Matchett now oversees all internal PALCS scholarships and serves as the primary point of contact for questions related to eligibility, application requirements, timelines, and submission processes. Below, you will find information about each scholarship, including qualifications and application details.
The PALCS Shining Stars Scholarship recognizes a graduating student who has demonstrated exceptional resilience, personal growth, and perseverance in the face of challenges, while maintaining a commitment to their education, school, and community.
Open to: PALCS Class of 2026 graduating juniors and seniors
Application Requirement: In a narrative essay, tell your story in 500-650 words. How have you demonstrated exceptional resilience, personal growth, or perseverance in your life?
Award Amount: $1,000 (sent directly to the student’s college/university)
Application Timeline: Opens February 24 | Due April 21 | Decision shared mid-May
The Micah Gates Memorial Scholarship honors a graduating PALCS student who demonstrates creativity, curiosity, compassion, and thoughtful engagement with their community. This scholarship recognizes students who contribute positively to the world through kindness, authentic self-expression, and intentional learning.
Open to: PALCS Class of 2026 graduating juniors and seniors
Application Requirements:
250–400 word personal reflection
One creative or expressive submission (artifact, design/build, video/audio reflection, or additional written reflection) with a brief explanation
Optional letter of recommendation
Award Amount: $1,000 (sent directly to the student’s college/university)
Application Timeline: Opens February 24 | Due April 21 | Decision shared mid-May
The McLaren STEM Scholarship celebrates a graduating student who demonstrates intellectual curiosity, creative problem-solving, and a strong commitment to pursuing a future in STEM-related fields. Through the generous support of McLaren Automotive, this $1,000 scholarship recognizes a student who thinks critically, explores boldly, and applies their knowledge in meaningful ways.
Open to: PALCS Class of 2026 graduating juniors and seniors
Application Requirement: In a narrative essay, describe your interest in STEM and how you have demonstrated curiosity, problem-solving, innovation, or leadership in this area
Award Amount: $1,000 (sent directly to the student’s college/university)
