Beast to Craft Workshop 3: The Genetics of parchment

The 8th meeting of the ICAZ Archaeozoology, Genetics and Morphometrics (AGM) Working Group will be held from 17th to 18th October 2019 at the National Museum of Natural History (Paris) and B2C will be joining them for a parchment workshop on the 19th October .

This workshop will seek to answer the following questions...

• Can we use genetics to resolve the historical and or geographical origins of parchment?
• How far can we exploit the genetics of modern cows, sheep and goats in the study of manuscript parchments?
• Can we use parchment to calculate the social and economic significance of herds and their composition and management?
