About me

I was born and raised in France. I came to the U.S. as an exchange student in high school to learn English as well as the history and the culture of the United States. I returned as a full-time U.S. resident a year later and attended college. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from USC Columbia, SC in 1994 and a Master of Education, in Secondary Education,  at ASU West, AZ in 2011. I hold an AZ State Certification for Social Studies and French.

Prior to moving to Arizona, I interned at Merrill Lynch in Columbia, SC and worked with Wheat First Butcher Singer in Raleigh, NC. Later I worked as the personal assistant to a Wholesale Mutual Fund representative. After moving to Arizona and staying home for several years to raise my family, I began working as a substitute teacher at Valley Academy in 2007. I was a substitute for all grade levels and took some long-term assignments until beginning teaching at Painted Rock Academy in 2012.

I am married and have four children who all attended Valley Academy. One is teaching Studio Art in the Valley and one is an engineer at Intel. One is working as our PRA librarian, and the youngest is a Navy recruit, studying at Power School.

I have lived in the United States since 1989. In early 2020, I became an American citizen, a proud, meaningful, and exciting event for me. I usually visit my family in France in the summer and try to visit somewhere new in the world every year.

I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, learning, and teaching

I am thrilled to start a new school year with you!
