Class overview
This year is going to be a fun year filled with creativity and learning. You will not only learn the elements of Art but how to use multiple different types of medias and tools to create your master pieces.
Hello My name is Mrs. Nielsen. This is my 2nd year teaching Art and I am super excited to create a fun and colorful year with you. Just so you know a little bit about me, I have been involved with Painted Rock in some form since 2013. I have my Bachelor's Degree from the Art Institute and have been married since 2009 and have two kids: Jacob in 8th grade and Brooklynn in 4nd, and I have two fur babies (Coco and Charli).
For the first quarter we will be doing a few "get to know you projects" and then start diving into Color Theory and Elements of Art. For the older grades we will be doing a lot of review and Art History lessons that go with the projects that we are working on.

Grading
There will be 3 things that I am grading this year.
Participation: in class effort and attitude
Quizzes: quarterly quizzes over Art terms and Art History
Projects: There will be multiple projects a quarter and they will be graded on following the direction and parameters of the assignment.

Day 4 - 7W, 5P, 3M, 1J, AA

Day 6 - 6C, 4M, 1S, 2H,
