TJ Young is president of Technical Training and Advisory Services 

Company, or T2ASCO LLC (pronounced TASCO), and has 45 years 

experience in the asphalt industry; including 16 years working for two 

asphalt plant manufacturers, five years working as a regional manager for a 

material producer, and since 2000 has served as a consultant to the 

industry. 

Mr. Young has been actively involved in developing technical materials in 

mix production for NAPA, NCAT, the Asphalt Institute, and is a frequent 

speaker to the industry for NAPA, World of Asphalt, CONEXPO-CON/AGG, 

state contractor associations and state departments of transportation. He 

has authored several state contractor qualification programs in the area of 

mix production.
