The PAIKY Winter School host hotel, Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel, is located near the Louisville International Airport and offers great space (and parking) for our meeting, but lacks restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. When going to dinner, we strongly encourage everyone to be responsible and safe by choosing a designated driver, utilizing ride shares (UBER, LYFT) or taking advantage of the FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE we are providing for meeting attendees. See below for additional details!

Shuttles will depart from the Crowne Plaza hotel starting at 6:00pm EST and run a continuous loop to Whiskey Row and 4th Street in downtown Louisville. The last shuttle pickup will be about 10:00pm for arrival back at the hotel by 10:30pm. After 10:00pm, you will need to utilize a ride share to get back to the hotel.
Here are the restaurants that are easily accessible (within a 2 block radius) from the drop off and pick up points:
Whiskey Row: Doc Crowe’s Southern Steakhouse & Raw Bar, Patrick O’Shae’s, Merle’s Whiskey Kitchen, Monk’s Road Boiler House, Troll Pub, Nic & Normans, Zombie Taco, Repeal Oak Fired Steakhouse, Steakhouse Bourre Bonne, Old Spaghetti Factory, and many others
4th Street: Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse, Braziero’s, Brendon’s Catch 23, 8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen, Vincenzos, Steak & Bourbon, Jeff Ruby’s, and many others

Shuttles will depart from the Crowne Plaza hotel starting at 5:00pm EST (please note there is NOT a reception with exhibitors immediately following the PM breakouts) and run a continuous loop to Whiskey Row and 4th Street in downtown Louisville. The last shuttle pickup will be about 8:30pm for arrival at the hotel by 9:00pm.
