Tim Pullin retired from law enforcement on January 1, 2024, following more than 37 years of dedicated service. He concluded his distinguished career with the Alabama State Troopers as the Commander of the Motor Carrier Safety Unit.
Tim began his law enforcement career with the Montgomery Police Department in December 1986. During his tenure with MPD, he served in several key roles, including Patrolman, Motor Officer, and Traffic Homicide Investigator. In November 1996, Tim joined the Alabama State Troopers, where he went on to serve in a variety of leadership positions such as Post Commander, Troop Commander, Motor Carrier Unit Commander, and Chief of Highway Patrol.
In September 2015, Tim was appointed Assistant Director of the Department of Public Safety under Governor Robert Bentley. Following his tenure as Assistant Director, he returned to the Highway Patrol Division, where he continued to serve with distinction until his retirement as the Motor Carrier Commander.
Throughout his nearly four decades in law enforcement, Tim earned a reputation for professionalism, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to public and roadway safety.
Tim is married to his wife, Tammy Pullin, and they reside in Prattville, Alabama. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Kelli and Kaylee, and the delighted grandparents of Parker and Payton.
