This discussion group is for faculty who are interested in thoughtfully integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into their teaching practices. We'll be using the book, AI with Intention: How to Build a Powerful Partnership with AI to Transform Your Classroom, as our guide. This group aims to move beyond a superficial understanding of AI tools and delve into the pedagogical principles that can help teachers use AI to enhance student learning, not just automate tasks. Each session will center on a specific theme from the book. We'll discuss practical strategies and ethical considerations, encouraging teachers to share their own experiences and challenges. This group is ideal for educators at all levels, from those who are just beginning to explore AI to those who have already experimented with it in their classrooms. The group will provide a safe space to ask questions, share successes and failures, and collectively navigate the evolving landscape of educational technology.
