About the teacher I have been teaching art at the high school and college level since 1998 and have been at the Career Center since 2004. My first job was as a gopher for my dad on construction sites. I have also worked as an Assistant Gallery Director in New York City and as an Art Director for a couple of independent films. I received my Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Arizona and my undergraduate degree in Studio Art from Allegheny College.

Ajah Tier, Freelance Graphic Designer
Ajah is a designer from Vermont, born and raised. Her work ranges from web design and coding to brand identities and illustration. She has designed for growing businesses and established brands and always is eager to learn more about design. While most of her professional work has focused on Graphic Design, Ajah also is talented in other art mediums. Printmaking, fiber arts, flower design and interior design all contribute to her talents. Her enjoys teaching high school students and offering Adult Education courses at the local technical school. Additionally she has entrepreneurial aspirations in lifestyle, sustainability, and hospitality.
She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Endicott College 2017. Ajah is also a former Design & Illustration student.

Samir Kadric, Owner of Middlebury Frame Shop & Gallery and is also a Freelance Photographer & Graphic Designer
Samir graduated from Northern Vermont University in 2022 with a BA in Graphic Design and an AS in Photography. He is the owner and operator of Middlebury Frameshop and Gallery. Samir is also a former Design & Illustration student.
