Session Description: This session will introduce attendees to the concept of posthuman inquiry, "a theoretical perspective that aims to address our co-constitutive entanglements with nonhuman entities." While this may sound overly theoretical or complex, we will explore specific and concrete ways in which educators can treat technologies not just as objects or tools, but as partners in the pedagogical process that encourage us to reconsider the human/technology dichotomy. Touching on a variety of emerging technologies like extended reality, artificial intelligence, and Web3, the focus will be on practical application in a K-12 setting. Attendees will be invited to consider and even attempt to answer the question: in the age of artificial intelligence, are our learners posthuman?
