This recipe is fantastic! There a ton of modifications and changes you can make to this recipe. You could add different types of beans- dark red kidney beans are great in this recipe. If you like spicy food you could substitute diced tomatoes with green chilies for regular diced tomatoes. You could also use diced tomatoes with onions and garlic for extra flavor!
If you don’t want to top with cornbread you can have the meat and bean mixture with salsa and corn chips. You can also top this with black olives and cheese for extra flavor and texture.
If you don't like vegetables leave out the corn!

Homemade macaroni and cheese is very easy to make and this recipe is the perfect basic mac and cheese recipe. A bechamel is simply roux with milk or cream mixed in.
There are many modifications you can make from this recipe. Try using pepper jack cheese or mozzarella to give extra flavor. Adding in more cheese makes a perfect cheesy taste. Try adding in extra cheese a half a cup at a time.
Another excellent change you can make to this recipe is to add the mac and cheese to a casserole dish, sprinkle more cheese on top and put it in the oven at 350℉ for 10 minutes until the cheese browns. You can also add bread crumbs for an extra crunch!
The cheese portion makes a great cheese dip as well if you skip the step of adding in the macaroni. I made a quick queso dip by combining the cheese sauce with some salsa! You can use the cheese sauce as a base for many things. You can even use it to dip pretzels or chips in. The possibilities are endless!

This recipe tastes just like a store bought Alfredo but better! The recipe was really easy and it was good. The ingredients were not hard to find. Its very easy for beginners , and very delicious. My family of 11 loved it! The step by step instructions which made the alfredo easier to manage and cook. The ingredients were easy to buy very affordable. You can add in any protein you'd like. Another idea is to add in some vegetables to go with it like peas or even broccoli. 10/10 would do it again!
