It has been lovely to see so many children enjoying the warmer weather this week. Long may it last! I was slightly premature with my reminder for sunhats, waterbottles and suncream. Hopefully the improvement in the weather is a long term change so please ensure children are sent to school ready for the warmer weather.
Super SATS Stars - a message to the children
Next week is SATs week! We know it might sound a bit scary, but remember, you've been working extremely hard all year and the staff are here to support you!
Here are some top tips:
Get a good night's sleep: Feeling well-rested helps your brain work its magic.
Eat a healthy breakfast: Fuel your brain.
Do your best: That's all anyone can ask for.
Don't worry: If you get stuck, take a deep breath and move on.
Believe in yourself: You are all brilliant and you can achieve anything you put your mind to.
Remember, SATs are just one way to show how awesome you are. You're all brilliant in your own way, and these tests can't measure all the amazing things you can do!
After SATs week, let's celebrate all your hard work!
We're already so proud of each and every one of you.
At the start of this term some of Year 5 visited Plas Pencelli Outdoor Education Centre in Brecon, Wales. The video below shows just some of the amazing activities they took part in.
This week we are really proud of...
Year 4 were amazing yesterday during India Day. Our young chefs were risk takers and communicators as they cooked up a storm!!!
Last Sunday, Lola played in the district team in the ESFA National Final held at Stoke City FC against U11 Leeds United FC. At full time, the match finished 1-1. This meant it ended in a penalty shoot out! The team went on to win 4 - 2, making them the first ever under 11’s West Kent girls team to win the National Finals - an amazing achievement! You should rightly be very proud of this achievement. Lola would like to say a big thanks to Mr Blackhall, their coach, for giving up his time to coach the team throughout the season.
Well done Vicente! Your determination at your taekwondo grading really paid off – winning medals is incredible! We are so proud of you!
Please join us to support Ashton fundraise for such a worthwhile cause, something that is close to so many of us. He will be running 5k for Dementia on 19th May.
He is trying to raise a total of £500 and has already got an incredible £280...we are so proud of you Ashton and wish you all the best!
