Mrs Fidock's news update

A gentle reminder to all parents: at the end of the day our priority is that we dismiss the children safely before we can answer any questions or deal with any queries. Please allow us to hand over all children before we engage with any conversations - we aren't being rude, we just need to make sure that the children are safe first. Thank you.

Christmas has arrived and we are enjoying adding some festive cheer to the school for the last few weeks of term. There are lots of things to remember at this time of year - please keep a close eye on Google Classroom and MCAS for any reminders. A heads up that the PTA Secret Room will be looking for donations - these will be collected between now and the 14th December, please give what you can so the the children can enjoying buying something special for you.

We continue to monitor attendance closely. Please remember that all children need to attend everyday unless they are poorly. Below is the overall attendance to date for each year group - please help us improve these for the remainder of the term and into the New Year.

EYFS: 90.8%

Year 1: 95.7%

Year 2: 95.1%

Year 3: 95.1%

Year 4: 94.2%

Year 5: 95%

Paddock Wood 'Lights Up'

Despite a very wet day, the choir did our school proud by beautifully singing Christmas carols and songs at the Paddock Wood 'Lights Up' event last Sunday. The turnout was great (again, despite the rain) and the choir's singing was very well received by all. 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!' :-)

Phoenix Dance at Paddock wood lights up

The countdown to Christmas has begun thanks to the brilliant Paddock Wood Lights Up team.

Phoenix Dance had the privilege of performing on the main stage and the children shone brighter than a Christmas star! They were rainbows through the rain, they pulled together as a team and I couldn’t be prouder.

Thank you to everyone on and off stage. You are all such an important part of who and what Phoenix is. When we come together we are capable of incredible things.
