Another week and a new month. I hope all of those who were completing some sort of 'anuary' were successful.
We have so much to celebrate in school this week:
Paddock Wood Primary Academy taking part in 'Young Voices 2024 - The world's largest school choir' at the O2 arena.
some fantastic learning in all year groups - thanks to our PYP curriculum...linking subjects and ensuring learning is engaging and ambitious for all children.
great use of technology across the school to help adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
an EYFS which continues to flourish and demonstrates high quality provision.
a staff team that work together and care for the children .
a PTA that run regular events for the benefit of the children like our doughnut sale and upcoming Valentines Disco.
behaviour and attitudes of the children in and around school continue to be exemplary.
reading suitcases to come home each week to help children engage with non-fiction, poetry and fiction.
successful sporting teams who won and more importantly demonstrated great sportsmanship in their matches.
On a slightly less positive note, unfortunately, we continue to have high levels of staff sickness - thank you for your understanding while we manage the staffing around this. We are working hard to ensure limited impact on day to day learning.
Remember next Friday is an INSET day for all children, so Thursday 8th February will be the last day of term.
Enjoy your weekend and doughnuts from our wonderful PTA!
All children will be celebrating Mental Health Week next week. Our focus is "My voice matters" and we have loads of fun activities planned to reinforce positive mental health.
The School Council have set up an Anti-Bullying Poster Competition.
The rules are simple: make an anti-bullying poster using words and pictures on one side of A4; put your name and class on the back; hand it in to 4T by Thursday 8th February.
We will try to find the best, which will be displayed in school!
Thank you and...Good Luck!
As children knowing their times tables is such an important part of maths, we would like to invite parents to a Times Tables Workshop on Wednesday 21st February at 2.00pm.
This is aimed at helping parents to support their children in learning their times tables at home.
All are welcome!
This week we are really proud of...
Elijah took part and passed his first taewondo grading last week. Well done Elijah; we are so proud of you!
Please use the link below to find out more about events and support available from Kent Children's Centres:

Great opportunity to support the local Children's Centres and to meet new people.
If an injury occurs at home that you need to tell us about, please can all parents complete our new pre-existing injury form on My Child at School.
This is adding to our already robust system to keep all children safe in school.
