Across the school, children in all year groups have been involved in wonderful learning. I have seen many children taking part in lessons that build their curiosity, encourage children to ask questions, develop their creative repertoire of skills, learn new vocabulary and discover how the world around them works. Please ask your children about their learning and push beyond the inevitable first grunt or one word answer. Remember, learning doesn't stop at school! Ask your child about their favourite discoveries and help them explore their interests at home.
Our EYFS classes had a fantastic time celebrating Beep Beep Day this week! The classrooms were buzzing with activity as the children learned all about road safety. They belted out catchy songs about pedestrian safety, practiced using our very own mini traffic lights while 'driving' in the playground, and explored the world of traffic signals. Through these engaging activities, the children gained valuable knowledge and confidence to become responsible and safe road users, both when walking and travelling in cars. We're sure they'll be eager to share their learnings with you at home!
The children in Reception have given me a perfect opportunity to remind parents to be mindful of how and where they are parking. We are still receiving many emails or calls from concerned parents and members of the wider community highlighting poor parking and/or road safety.
Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Bienz. She is sadly leaving PWPA and today is her last day. She is a wonderful teacher and she has been an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team. I know all of the children, staff and school community will miss her greatly. I would like to take this opportunity to wish her all the best for the future.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
This week we are really proud of...
