Mrs Fidock's news update

Goodness this week has gone quickly!! We've had lots of visitors for various things, as well as trips for EYFS and gardening fun in Year 2. This week has been our awareness week and thank you for all your support with this. We continue to be delighted by the empathy our children demonstrate in their support of our causes and it's given them an insight into a wide range of people and conditions, and helps with our acceptance of one another and the importance of being 'kind'.

I've had lots of children coming to show me their learning this week too - Year 6 have been writing witch spells in response to Macbeth, EYFS have been enjoying the Tinga Tinga tales and children in Year 3 have made lots of progress with their writing. It's so lovely to see how proud they are of their learning - we even had a visitor who took a photo of some Year 6 learning to show her staff (secondary academy in our Trust!).

As the weather starts to improve can we please remind you of the importance of a hat, suncream and plenty of water - can we please ask that everything is named if it comes into school, so we can return lost items to their owners.

Football B-Team

Congratulations to our B Team who won the league on Tuesday after an impressive 3-1 victory against an excellent Temple Grove team. Wear it green for Mental Health Day

The children had a fantastic afternoon on Thursday celebrating Mental Health Day. They were able to take part in a range of activities to support their wellbeing including: origami, face painting, creating positive affirmations, making dream catchers, decorating biscuits and doing a range of exercise activities.

Office Messages

EpiPens

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency has issued a recall of Emerade 300 and 500 microgram adrenaline auto-injector pens (AAIs).

This is because some Emerade AAIs might fail to work correctly and may not deliver a dose of adrenaline if they've been dropped, though this is very rare. If your child carries the Emerade brand of AAI, you should immediately contact your GP to get 2 replacement pens of a different brand - either EpiPen or Jext.
