Paddock Wood Primary Academy

Newsletter

Mrs Fidock's news update

Happy Friday!

Since the last newsletter we have: won the LAT Sports Event with a massive score of 472 to beat our nearest rivals by 90 points, won the LAT Kwik Cricket competition, celebrated all our dancers that took part in the Carnival with Phoenix Dance and won, taken part on Rockin' on the Rec with the school choir (& Mr McNair),  (Y4) watched Mascalls' Frozen production, celebrated Bastille Day in KS1 and enjoyed the Year 6 Exhibition Event about careers. Our children continue to represent Paddock Wood in so many different events and they do so with sportsmanship, resilience and enjoyment - we are so proud of you all.

As we move into our final week of the year, we'd like to thank you all for your continued support. So many parents have spoken to us about things that have improved this year and further ideas to make PWPA even better - and I know Mrs Early will want to take many of these ideas on board. The staff have all worked so hard to make this a successful year for the children and their enjoyment in their learning is what shines through when you speak with them and look around the school.  Please take time to read through the reports with your child/ren - they are on MCAS - and celebrate their achievements, look at their next steps and if you have any questions, please speak to the class teacher.

Have a wonderful weekend and we'll see you on Monday.

Phoenix Dance

On Sunday the children of Phoenix Dance ROARED their way to success at the Paddock Wood Parade and Fayre. The event is run by the Paddock Wood Lions Club and this year we celebrated their 40th year with the theme 'LIONS!'. We were reflective learners and thought about what the Lions do for the community and what the community means to us. Together we created a lion head full of words to show our findings which we carried proudly through the parade. 82 children walked, 98 danced and each and every child showed up and were present in the moment. The smiles, laughter and the awesome dance moves carried us through to overall winners of the parade. The comments from people who didn't even know the children on how remarkable they were was insane! Little legends!

Well done to everyone, I’m beyond proud of you all!

Office Messages

Please can any outstanding debts be cleared before Monday 17th July and any further meals be paid for in advance for the final week to ensure that the final run for Bromcom reconcile can be actioned.  Any credits will be carried on to next term.  Thank you
