Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the beautiful spring weather. It's been a wonderful week at Paddock Wood, with so many exciting and inspiring learning opportunities. The children have embraced the arrival of spring, and it has been a joy to watch them engaging in their learning with such enthusiasm whilst enjoying their first lunch break on the field, this was met with great joy!
In Year 3, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic Living History Workshop. The children truly came to life as they experienced Ancient Egypt firsthand, stepping back in time and testing their extensive knowledge. It’s a great example of how hands-on learning can inspire deeper understanding and create unforgettable memories. I am sure so many of you have already heard great stories and seen the recreated artefacts up close.
Our sports teams have been performing admirably across the last week. On Thursday evening we had four simultaneous football fixtures. The academy really was a hive of activity with all children thoroughly enjoying the chance to represent their school with their peers, it was a sight to behold! Whether they won or lost, the spirit of collaboration, determination, and sportsmanship has been the highlight of every match. It’s heartwarming to see the children supporting each other, striving to do their best, and showing resilience — qualities that will serve them well in all areas of life.
Lastly, I would like to reflect on another successful Early Years Stay and Play open session which we held on Thursday evening. It was refreshing to see both existing parents in the academy and new prospective parents. A huge thank you to our Early Years team for their incredible efforts in making the event such a success!
Looking ahead, there are plenty of events and activities on the horizon — be sure to check the ‘dates ahead’ section of the newsletter for more information.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend and thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. Moore
This week our overall academy attendance has been 95.7% which is great in comparison to the average for Kent schools which is currently standing at 94.2%. Considering the amount of tummy bugs and viruses around we are doing well as an academy. Please continue to wash hands properly to try stamp out all these germs.
Our winning year group is Year 4 this week with 96.3% so congratulations to all pupils for being in school as much as you have!
All Year 4 children have received some additional playtime today to celebrate this...and of course will be the holders of the Attendance Weekly Cup for a week!
This week we are really proud of...
