Dear Parents and Carers,
I write to you after what was an amazing Emergency Services day today. I hope your children ran out of school with excitement after what really was a brilliant day. It was a joy to see their amazement in being able to connect with each of the emergency services. Whether it was fingerprinting, setting the sirens off, understanding the inner workings of an ambulance, making badges, trying on uniforms or (potentially best of all) using the fire hose, every child really was engaged and enthralled. Whether it gives children a better understanding of the work these amazing people do or inspires them to want to pursue such a career in the future, it was profoundly positive. We look forward to continuing our connection with the emergency services whilst also delving into further career opportunities in the world beyond our school gates. If any parents wish to share their career pathways then please don't hesitate to reach out to our school office. We are building a calendar of events for next year and welcome diverse careers to inspire the children.
After such a brilliant day, today, we look to go one better with Paddock Woodstock. The ticket sales see so many of you attending and I am sure it will be a fabulous exhibition of singing and dancing. The children and their teachers have worked exceptionally hard to bring it all together (whilst continuing at full speed with their learning). I know they can't wait to perform for you all!
I look forward to seeing so many of you tomorrow. Please be mindful of the heat and ensure children have a hat, bottle of water and sufficient suncream applied.
Lastly, I do ask that you continue to send in your feedback regarding the consultation for early closure on Wednesdays. Your feedback really is vital and we haven't yet received many responses (a sum total of 45). I hope to be able to take a healthy number of responses back so that the correct decision can be made moving forwards. Please have your say!
Yours sincerely,
Mr Moore
