Dear Parents and Carers,
I write to you at the end of a highly successful week. Nyasi house (Green) thoroughly enjoyed their house cinema celebration day on Thursday. It was fantastic to see the children enjoying their reward for their hard work. We will be announcing a number of other exciting house events in the coming weeks with even more opportunities for children to earn points for their houses. They are certainly loving the healthy competition. Details of these events will be circulated via MCAS and/or Google Classroom.
I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the children working diligently on their maths this week, they have worked collaboratively and enjoyed discussing their methods of working. If you are unsure of means or ways of supporting your child with their maths at home then please arrange to meet with their class teacher who can guide you. Times Tables Rockstars should also be a cornerstone of home learning as the children love the opportunity to rehearse their times tables in a fun and competitive manner. We run a number of competitions in school whilst teaching children the foundational maths knowledge and skills to be able to recite and use their times tables facts.
I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Moore
This week we are really proud of...
Millie and Felicity are appearing in the Sevenoaks Entertainers Pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, at The Stag Theatre next week. They have been busily rehearsing since October, and are very excited that it is finally show week! They are performing in shows from Friday 24th January to Sunday 26th January. Please see below for more details - there are still a few tickets available!
As part of our on going effort to promote positive behaviours within our academy, we have introduced STAR badges for all the children to work toward.
STAR behaviours seen around the academy mean positive behaviour points which will be added up each week and badges awarded. We are looking forward to the first bronze badges being handed out!
Not only will children be rewarded for their individual behaviours now but all points are also added to their house point total with fantastic reward events up for grabs!
Next week will be Week 3 of the school meal menu - KS2 - please ensure all meals are paid for in advance via MCAS.
