Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy New Year to you all!
I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas break and feel well rested for the new year. Myself and my Senior Leaders will endeavour to see as many of you as possible in person at the beginning and end of the school day, we will continue to be stationed on the playgrounds and entrances to welcome and support you all with teachers (as always) providing warm welcomes from the cold on the classroom entrances.
Please, as was the case before the Christmas break, send your children in prepared for bitterly cold weather with warm winter coats, hats, gloves etc. Please also label these items of clothing so that none are lost.
We will continue to communicate via MCAS and our Academy website as early as possible in the event of snow disruptions, please keep an eye on these platforms should we need to close. If we were required to close, we will be running a schedule of live/home learning. Should you not have the means to access Google Classroom from home then please liaise with your child's class teacher to ensure they can provide you with learning materials and tailored support.
I am working closely with the council and highways agency to make parking and the daily commute to school safer and more manageable for all. I thank you for the feedback that many of you have provided in trying to improve the beginning and the end of the day for all of our community, it is of utmost important to me and I know that it can be extremely stressful.
Yours sincerely and have a lovely weekend,
Mr Moore
