Mr Moore's News Update
Dear parents and carers,
I would just like to say thank you for all of the responses to the Parent Survey so far. The survey closes on Friday 6th February leaving just one more week to share your views about the academy. Please click the link in order to access the survey. All feedback is welcomed and vitally important in refining our processing and actioning areas for improvement. It has been uplifting to be able to share positive personal feedback with staff so please don't hesitate to use it as a portal to share individual praise too (thank you to those of you who have already done so).
We are working very closely with our estates department to tackle our flooding issue on both the EYFS playground and the driveway. This is a work in progress but something that is more complex than we initially anticipated. Several years ago both were tackled in an attempt to rectify the issues but extensive work is underway to diagnose the source of the problem. Please do ensure that children are kept to pathways and monitored at the beginning and end of the day to not go into the puddles. Sometimes this is long standing water on top of drains which are struggling with the sheer volume of rain we have had and ask that everybody refrains from going in them in order to stay safe and dry.
This week Year 6 enjoyed a trip to the Tower of London in line with their inquiry into crime and punishment. It is so inspiring for our young learners to be able to see their learning come to life and understand the significance of our landmarks too.
We have a number of upcoming trips so please ensure you are keeping abreast of class messages and notifications on MCAS as we enter another busy period. We will also be sending home correspondence in the final few weeks of term to notify you of class engagement events across the remainder of the academic year in which you can come and partake in learning with your children. We know such opportunities are beneficial on all fronts and really do enthuse the children.
Yours sincerely and have a brilliant weekend,
Mr Moore

Lawrence recently performed as a dancer in the Sevenoaks Entertainment 2026 pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk. It was a great experience, and he enjoyed performing to three sold-out shows and being part of such a fun and exciting production.
Millie and Felicity danced and sang in panto last week, performing in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Stag Theatre with the Sevenoaks Entertainers. We are extremely proud of the determination, commitment and confidence that they demonstrated during rehearsals and performances.
#WakeUpWednesday is a campaign by the National Online Safety organisation. It's designed to help parents and carers stay informed about the latest online trends and platforms that their children might be using.
Every Wednesday, a new guide or resource is released, offering simple tips and advice on how to keep children safe online. These guides cover a range of topics, from popular apps and games to general online safety issues like cyberbullying and privacy. The goal is to start a conversation between adults and children about staying safe in the digital world.
We will upload these guides/resources here every week.
