Dear Parents and Carers,
What a fantastic term it has been! There have been so many amazing learning opportunities that I hope the children have come home talking enthusiastically about.
We kicked the term off with our House Celebration event which the children absolutely loved again. The children are more motivated than ever to earn house points and are working collaboratively every day to ensure their house wins the termly award.
I have absolutely loved seeing the children cooking in the style of the Mayans and Anglo-Saxons this term. The smells from Year 4 this week were delightful in a culmination of a whole term of learning about ancient civilisations. Year 3 and Year 2 have also enjoyed trips to the Theatre and the Church and were excited to tell me all about their learning and how they were able to apply this learning outside of school.
There is such a buzz of learning around the school with inspiring learning opportunities lined up for next term, the children have a great deal to look forward to!
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who participated in the recent parental survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, I will continue to work to address any concerns while building on the positive feedback that you provided. I will continue to meet with parents in the coming weeks to discuss how we can tackle any frustrations and make Paddock Wood the very best learning environment possible for every child. Thank you once again.
As we approach the half term break, I wish you all a restful and enjoyable time with your families. We are looking forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 24th February, as we will be closed tomorrow (Friday 14th February) for an Inset staff training day.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Moore

Over the past term many of our budding stars of the future have been rehearsing their songs for the LAPW singing competition. Yesterday saw each of these acts show immense bravery and courage to perform in front of the whole school and what an amazing morning it was! Every single act was unbelievable and the singing was a joy to watch. I know it was enjoyed by everybody watching.
With every competition there must be a winner but we would like to congratulate everyone that took part! Every act has earned themselves house points and the winners have won even more to be added to their house total!
