What we do...
Apart from our Sunday morning and evening services, other activities take place on a regular basis.
Open Table
The Open Table gathering is held every Thursday from 11:00am - 2:00pm in the George Smith hall behind the Church. Come and meet Lyndal and Cindy, our community development workers, as well as others who attend to share ideas and support one another. Stay for discussion and lunch (at 12:30pm). This is a Paddington Uniting Church mental health support initiative.
Paddington Markets
Paddington Markets, held around the church every Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, is Sydney's longest running weekly community markets. For over 40 years it has been and continues to be Australia's most frequent and well known church fête. The profits from Paddington Markets fully funds the administrative and maintenance costs of running Paddington Uniting Church, with surplus profits funding mental health community activities.
Paddington Children's Centre
The Paddington Children's Centre is located in the original church manse and operates within the broader Uniting framework as a provider of early childhood education. It employs highly qualified staff and provides a well-resourced and maintained environment. It is a safe and welcoming place where social justice, equity and inclusion are highly valued.
