In our first year of ISR, we have learned how to read and analyze research papers. We attended lectures from leading researchers and learned which field of science we wanted to study. We practiced our presentation skills and reached out to potential labs, facing many rejections but also many successes. In preparing for our first ISR symposium, we worked on creating posters, elevator speeches, and abstracts for the topics we plan to study in the future.
