Making a Diorama

A terrarium is a small, closed world. It is made up of plants, soil, water, and air. In some ways, Billy's childhood home is like a terrarium because itis closed off from the rest of the world. Very few people visited the backwoods of Oklahoma during the 1930's.

Make your own mini-world filled with natural plants, rocks, and other natural found items. You can even add a character from the story. Elements in your diorama should be found in nature or should be handmade. Your diorama can be made out of a 2 liter bottle or a box. Talk to your teacher if you need supplies.

The assignment is open ended, however, look at the grading rubric below to see the necessary components.
