By an unfortunate event, you find yourself in a pit of confusion and possibly a lot of pain, and that will go away with time. However, this memory won't. But don't worry, we, the HeadHonchos, are here to help. After a concussion, other than a lot of pain, you may experience a lot of confusion and some memory loss. This IS temporary, and we want to help you and guide you through it. We understand the frustration you must be in right now. On top of everything: you may still be in school, trying to balance homework, sports, your personal life, and still have time to give yourself some rest. Thankfully, we have created a workbook to guide you on your memory recovery journey!
THE WORKBOOK
This workbook is a 4 week guide to memory recovery after a concussion. It's primary audience is for athletes who are also in school. The workbook we have provided includes tips for improved learning, lessons on the process of memory and how you can use it to your advantage, as well some emotional guidance through this stressful time.
Each week has 4 lessons, that you choose which days of the week you'd like to do them. The lessons will teach you about memory and you will apply that knowledge throughout the week. It will also have a reflection and goal-setting part to keep you on track. We've also included inspirational quotes and stories of people you may know to keep you motivated and inspired.
To begin your memory recovery and claim your CHAMPIONSHIP, click on the sub-headers linked on this page and follow along with the workbook.
Here is a layout of what a daily lesson will look like.

Meet The Authors! AKA the HeadHonchos
Mackenzie
Hi reader : ) I'm Mackenzie. It's a pleasure to have you here. I'm a music listening, coffee drinking, chocolate loving student. I find learning about psychology very enjoyable especially when I can apply it to my own life. The creation of this project is important to me because I am able to share the valuable knowledge I have learned with others.
Jamison
Hi! My name is Jamison, and this project means a lot to me because as an athlete who has had to recover from a long-term concussion, I understand the struggles you are going through and we are here to help in any way possible!
Eli
Hello! My name is Elijah this project means a lot to me because of the lack of plans that there are when it comes to getting a concussion other than having to take X amount of days off. We appreciate you for using our website for guidance.
Carli
Hi! I'm Carli I am majoring in Kinesiology and I have been an athlete my whole life. I have endured a concussion before and have seen numerous teammates suffer from head injuries as well. I understand it can be scary and its hard to deal with an injury of any sort. We are here to help you through your journey and find peace in the unknown.
After completing the workbook, let us know what you think! We'd love to hear your opinion on how we did and how we can improve so we can help others like you. Thank you.
- Sincerely, The Head Honchos
