Hello! Welcome to our website! Throughout the course of this semester, we have been learning about the Memory Wars, cognitive science, and clinical practice. Though it is a new science, psychology has grown and evolved a considerable amount. Sadly, some of the growth concerning the current cognitive research has not been widely shared to the general public. With this, the field of psychology has entrenched itself into some muddy territory. Yet, as the lotus flower symbolizes, there is beauty to be found out of the the muddiness. As up-and-coming mental health counselors, we feel motivated to share the in-depth knowledge we have learned about cognitive science and how such information informs clinical practice. We hope that you take the time to listen to our videos about Trauma Informed Care (TIC), building off the framework inspired by the Memory Wars. In doing so, we hope that you feel inspired by our project to find the beauty in psychological science (both the clinical and cognitive) and to pursue truth that cognitive science can offer!
