*Counting activities can be done throughout the day, while you’re walking, jumping, doing chores together. If you’re dicing potatoes, have your child group them in tens and count to 100 before adding them to the pot!

*Mexican Sun Art or “hojalata” can be made with heavy duty aluminum foil.

*Sight Word Hunt – Have your child make the sight word signs, or you can make them and hang them around the house.

**Books found in your child’s Literacy Group Shelf can be printed, single side and stapled together. These books are just slightly above your child’s reading level. Please read through the book together the first time, using Teacher Prompts for Reading Conferences as a guide.
