· Add in Garden Creatures
· Allow kids to add water and see how it changes the soil

Wacky Wednesday
Cooking Projects— Allow children to use their fingers to tear herbs or small safety scissors to cut them.
· Herb dip for Veggies –tear or cut fresh herbs into small pieces. Stir into ½ cup sour cream, plain yogurt, or a combo of the two. Add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy with veggies.
· Herbal tea—tear or cut fresh mint or lemon balm. Have a grown-up pour near-boiling water and let sit for 3-5 minutes. Sweeten with honey if desired. Enjoy!

Literacy
· Make your own book “In My Garden”
· Garden Vocabulary—print the Garden Word Wall. Notice the first letter of each word and sort them by that letter. Talk about what each word “means”. Practice writing some of your favorites. Use them to label a garden picture or your “In My Garden” book.
Listen to Bunny Mail

Numeracy
Movement Math-Print the “Movement Math Cards” and cut them apart.
1. Select your movements
2. Roll a die* or dice if you’d like to practice some addition
3. Perform each movement while counting to the number out loud.

If you don’t have a die, Click on this Link
Or make your own using a small box (cubed tissue boxes are perfect) and covering with paper.

This is a great extension as you and your child could create dice with any numbers!

Visual Art
Rainbow Hunt- Look around your house for items to make a rainbow. When you’re finished take a picture and email it to Miss Rachelle and she will post them on the blog.
