Second Graders

Writing

• Write a story using descriptive words.

Science

• Understand that matter includes everything that has mass and takes up space.

• Explain the three main states of matter (solid, liquid, and gas). Be able to identify solid, liquids, and gases in everyday life.

• Be able to sort and classify objects based on their physical properties. Use your knowledge of material properties to design a better boat.
