This real-time online class covers 3rd-grade social studies standards and encourages students to explore the world with curiosity and critical thinking.
Students will examine how the past has shaped the present through engaging, interdisciplinary lessons that include hands-on projects and multi-sensory activities.
They’ll take on research projects, collaborate with peers, and present their findings—building strong communication skills and a deeper appreciation for history, geography, and civic life. This class fosters a sense of connection, curiosity, and community in young learners.
Concepts: CA Indians, explorers, settlers, geography, economics, and US citizens.
Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

If a student withdraws from Science or Social Studies classes, the cost of the curriculum is non-refundable. If a Spark Science or Social Studies student withdraws within the grace period, they will receive a class refund minus a $40 Savvas curriculum fee ($225 − $40).
