This live online class will spark students’ curiosity about the exciting world of science. Students will complete a science/nature journal of notes, drawings, diagrams, and charts. They will expand their knowledge of key concepts and the scientific world through whole and small group discussions, real-world explorations, experiments, projects, and inquiries.  Students will also have the opportunity to conduct science projects and present their findings to the class, practicing presentation skills. All 5th grade Science standards will be taught through student-led inquiry. 

Concepts Covered: Molecules and Organisms: Structures and Processes, Ecosystems, Earth’s Place in the Universe,  Earth’s Systems, Earth and Human Activity, Matter and its Interactions, Motion, Forces, and Energy, and Engineering Design Process

Schedule: Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
