Capitalizing Proper Nouns
The best writing begins with a good topic.
Make your topic as specific as possible.
Be sure your topic is appropriate for your audience.
Choose ideas that will achieve your purpose.
Be sure your topic and ideas suit your purpose and audience.

Convention - Possessive Nouns
A good topic sentence clearly states the main idea of the paragraph and is supported by interesting details.
Make sure all of your details support your main idea.
Include details that your reader would want to know and that support your main idea.
State your main idea in a topic sentence. Then provide interesting details that support the main idea.
