All Sutter Peak students in grades 3-8 were provided a Measuring Up to the California Standards Math workbook at back to school! We would love to share more about this resource! Measuring Up is one way students can learn, review, and practice state standards in the way in which they will need to demonstrate mastery on the annual CAASPP exams. Each workbook is divided into units which can be aligned with your student's personal curriculum, or can be used to target specific standards for more support. Each lesson follows the following sequence-

• Introduction: connecting students prior knowledge to what will be covered in each lesson, and includes key academic vocabulary students will encounter throughout the lesson

• Guided Instruction: building knowledge by offering opportunities to review skills and standards and apply them to practice test items that are similar to those that are seen on CAASPP

• Independent Practice: Gives students a chance to show they understand the content by answering questions on their own.

• Exit Ticket: Provides an end of lesson check point to make sure students will understand content
