FAQ

How young do you teach?

We start as early as 3-4 years old with the 'Lads and Lassies' Class. In this class, we work with children follow directions, learn right from left, basic physical coordination, patterns, repetition, and simple dance choreography.

WHEN CAN MY CHILD ENROLL IN CLASSES?

Our studio operates as 'Open Enrollment'. This means that you can sign up any time.

HOW MUCH DO CLASSES COST?

Classes start at $55 per month. There is a $75 registration fee, or if you have multiple dancers in a family enrolling then the registration fee is $100.

CAN MY CHILD JUST 'TRY OUT' A CLASS?

Absolutely! Your child can attend one class for free to meet us and take a look around!

IS THERE ANY SPECIAL CLOTHING THAT MY CHILD NEEDS?

Class attire is a black shirt with black shorts. Skirts or shorts are also acceptable. Shorts must be at least 2" above the knee top. T-shirts may have colors/patterns/logos/on them as long as the background is black. For Lads & Lassies classes, simple black ballet flats are required. All other classes will require ghillies for girls and reel shoes for boys. When your child is allowed to participate in the hard shoe class, then jig shoes are required. We do keep a limited stock of gently used shoes on hand for purchase. Please check with the instructor prior to purchasing online.

DOES YOUR STUDIO HAVE RECITALS?

The Wenatchee location does not hold recitals. We do perform throughout the year at various events and community locations. These are not required.

I NOTICED YOU HAVE COMPETITIONS. WHAT ARE THESE AND IS MY CHILD REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE?

An Daire Academy is a member of the oldest international Irish Dance School organization, An Coimsuin Rince La Gaelica, (CLRG). Our school participates in CLRG sanctioned events only. Competitions are not required. Please check with the instructor to see if your child is ready.
