Course Description: Courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen. Courses meet legislation requirements for provincial/ territorial worker safety and insurance boards, and include the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Course Description: Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

-Administrative, School & Office Staff

-Daycare Providers & Staff

-Light Construction / Low-Risk workers (EMS response time less than 30 minutes)

Course Description: Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Target Audience:

-Heavy Construction & Rural workers

-Pre-requisite for Police, Fire & Paramedic applications

-Moderate/High risk workers with prolonged EMS Response time (greater than 30 mins)

Advanced First Aid w/ CPR-C or BLS

CSA Advanced First Aid / "First Aider 3"

Full Course: 80 hours in-class

Course Description: Building on the knowledge and skills within the Emergency Care for Professional Responders text, learners will gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate patient assessments, interventions, and ongoing care in the workplace. The various options for transportation of an injured worker from the workplace to a healthcare facility are also covered. This course meets CSA Standard Z1210-17 First Aid Training for the Workplace.

Target Audience

For those primarily designated with the responsibility as an Advanced Workplace First Aid Attendant. In some jurisdictions, this advanced first aid course is approved for pre-hospital medical first responders.

Prerequisites

Participant must be certified in Standard First Aid with CPR level C.

Basic Life Support (BLS)                        $75.00 (+GST)

Stand-alone CPR for the Professional Responder

Full Course: 4 Hours (In-Class)

Course Description: Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course. 

Target Audience:

-In-Facility Providers, including Nursing staff, care aides, dental professionals

-Prehospital care providers, including Fire services, Rescue teams, sports-medicine, lifeguards, ski patrol & paramedics

Certification: 1-year certification in BLS with digital certificate issued upon completion

Airway Management & Oxygen Therapy          $40.00 (+GST)

Stand-alone or Add-on to BLS

Full Course: 2-4 Hours (Or 2 hours added onto BLS)

Course Description (Airway Management): Designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to create a patent airway, the interventions to maintain it, and the equipment available to carry out these skills. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills required to provide the appropriate interventions, including measuring and inserting the applicable airway adjunct based on the patient’s condition. Participants will also learn the knowledge and skills to correctly identify when it is necessary to administer supplemental oxygen. Participants will learn how to properly and safely handle and assemble the equipment and how to correctly deliver supplemental oxygen through the appropriate delivery device.

-In-Facility Providers, including Nursing staff, care aides, dental professionals

-Prehospital care providers, including Fire services, Rescue teams, sports-medicine, lifeguards, ski patrol & paramedics

Certification: 3-year certification in Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy with digital certificate issued upon completion (2 Certificates)

Cancellation Policy:

We understand that sometimes plans change and that you may no longer be able to attend a class. We will do all that we can to get our participants into an upcoming class. If you must cancel, we require a minimum of 2 business days' notice to receive a full refund. With cancellation notice between 1-2 business days, there will be a 25% cancellation fee. If cancellation occurs within 24 hours, there will be a 50% cancellation fee.
