Middle School Math
Middle School Math
Hello PACS family and friends!!!!!
My name is Michelle Foy and I am the Middle School Math teacher at Perth Amboy Catholic School. I am looking forward to working with you and your child. At this stage in your child’s education he/she is beginning to become more independent. Independence is great and a goal I definitely encourage in my classroom. I am excited for the incredible adventure before me and look forward to sharing it with you and your child.
I have been teaching since 1992 in grades 5 through 8. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and I also have a dual state certification, one teaching grades K-8, and the other in Special Education. I have taught in my own classroom, as well as working as an In Class Resource teacher with many fabulous general education teachers.
I am married and have a son who is a graduate of PACS. I myself was a graduate of this school many years ago.
I also love building Lego sets! This has been one of my favorite things to do for a very long time. It helps in aiding in the development of cognitive, fine motor, and social skills, as well as fostering creativity and problem-solving abilities in both children and adults. They can also be a tool for learning, stress relief, and even social connection.
I believe as educators our most important job is to foster curiosity and create interested scholars. It is my goal to instill a love for mathematics and an appreciation for its various applications in all of my students.
As a math teacher, I will include basic math skills, analytical thinking, instruction abilities, patience, communication, and computer competencies in my classroom.
I am extremely happy to be a part of the PACS family! I am looking forward to another year with a fantastic faculty and extraordinary students!
