Mr. Clark's 5th Grade

Growing up I went to Our Lady of Peace in Fords, NJ. I completed my kindergarten through 8th catholic education there. I was an altar server from 5th grade through my senior year in high school. My favorite teachers were my 3 and 4th grade teachers. They encouraged me to be a great writer and how to overcome writer's block and inspired me in the sciences. I really enjoyed science very much and today I'm grateful to be the middle school science teacher at PACS.

My faith is very dear to me. Worship is very important for me. Even throughout the pandemic while not being able to attend mass, my rosary was always very present. I believe very much in the rosary because whenever I pray it my prayers are answered.

As a science teacher, I try to bring in real world experiences for students to make connections with the world around them. I like for my students to experience hands on learning as much as possible. Our students practice making observations, predictions, and implement problem solving skills to find solutions.

I'm also a musician. I play the drums and percussion. In my personal life I'm a part of a marching band and we have been together for 6 years. I enjoy performing, mastering the challenges of learning new music and bringing joy to my audience. I also lead a "Jam Band" club at school. Students are free to bring any instrument, even their voices to simply jam together. We also learn school songs of worship and prepare for our school concerts.
