Hi Gators,

We hope you are enjoying the start of the long weekend. Counselors have been hard at work the last three days ensuring Seniors and Juniors are enrolled in classes that support their on-time graduation. As we have communicated in-person to the many students who have asked, Seniors and Juniors receive priority in schedule adjustments for graduation purposes. 

Due to the high volume of schedule change requests, we are unable to accommodate most of the requested changes. Schedule change requests next week (September 8 to September 11) will only be considered under these circumstances:

• Graduation Requirement Concerns

• Duplicated Courses on a Student's Schedule 

• Missing Class Periods

• Adding an AP Class

Schedule change requests will not be considered or made for the following circumstances:

• Teacher Preference

• Period Preference

• Dropping an AP Class

• Any other Preference or Convenience Request

Lastly, one aspect of scheduling all students also includes managing class sizes, especially for the most requested electives. When a class is too big, or a Senior or Junior needs a class for graduation, other students may be moved out to make space for them. Students get moved out in the following order: Freshmen first, then Sophomores, then Juniors, then Seniors.
