Student Watercolors
My students made watercolors of the National Geographic Quest itinerary stops, before my journey. I am excited to share the watercolors from my Ozark High School social studies students. Below are their artistic interpretations of Alaska. I love the creativity and self-expression! It was a wonderful way for students to have a role in the journey, and it allowed students to get to know about a place thousands of miles away from their own community. The connections to geography, art, social studies, and the environment were immense.  I am glad students could help me prepare to visit Alaska with this hands-on learning activity. Student watercolors are below; they are listed in order of the itinerary stops, beginning in Sitka, Alaska and ending in Juneau, Alaska.  Thank you to the students for their dedication to using art to learn about Alaska!Â
