Thoroughly read the job description
Reading the job description carefully helps you understand what the eligibility requirements and time commitments are for the RA role.
TIP: Attend an Info Session (include link) to further learn about the RA role and hear from a panel of current RAs about their experiences!
Complete all requested information
Don't leave anything blank. If you can't answer a question, you can pause and come back to the application at a later time.
TIP: It's suggested that you first use a Google Doc, Word Doc, notebook, et cetera to work on your answers for the written questions. This gives you time to fully develop your answers and ensures your work will be saved (in case the application crashes at any point).
Tailor your application
Highlight your specific qualifications and experiences that are relevant to the position. You can review the RA Job Description (include link) for more information on what the job encompasses.
TIP: If you don't have job experience yet, you can talk about any volunteer work, student leadership involvement, club/sports involvement, et cetera. These can be from high school and/or your time at Oxy!
