Library/Textbook Charges
When students check out books, it is important they check their library books and/or textbooks and report any damages. Students have two (2) weeks to report any damages so they will not be charged when books are returned. STUDENTS are responsible for the condition of their books.
All library books and textbooks are due to the PHS Library/Textbook room by their due date. Library books can be checked out three (3) weeks at a time; textbooks are due at the end of the semester/year. When books are returned, they are reviewed and assessed for damages (see the damage criteria and costs below).
This information is provided to ensure that policies regarding costs and book replacement is clear and available to all PHS students, staff, and parents. Damage fees are used to pay for the repair and/or replacement of books.
