Omega-3 fatty acid oxidation
Omega-3 fatty acid oxidation
Fats are a vital source of energy and certain fats, specifically Omega-3 Fatty Acids, contain vital nutrients for the body. Peanut oils and fish oils, both fats containing Omega-3 fatty acids, expire or go rancid through the process known as oxidation. When these oils are introduced to oxygen, the hydrocarbon tails of the fats break apart.
