Membership drives occur the first four weeks of each semester.
Students wishing to apply will need:
their final report card from the previous semester
their dues receipt
The application form will walk students through filling in their classes and calculating their CSF GPA using the approved course list for the year.
See Mrs. Hamilton in J109 with any questions.
You must earn a minimum of 10 points from last semester's grades.
The first 4 points must be from LIST I (unless you are a senior applying for membership in February or June).
The first 7 points must be from LISTS I & II.
The remaining points may come from any LIST (I, II or III).
You must use no more than 5 courses to qualify.
The following courses do not earn CSF points: PE, courses taken in lieu of PE, subjects repeated to improve a grade, credit recovery courses, office aid/TA, summer school, and courses taken on a pass/fail basis.
CSF points are granted as follows:
Grade of A = 3 CSF points & grade of B = 1 CSF point
One additional point shall be granted for a grade of A or B in an AP, IB, or Honors course, up to a maximum of two such points per semester.
A grade of C = 0 CSF points
Also Remember:
You must reapply each semester.
Semester membership is based on work done in the previous semester.
If you earned a grade of D or F in any course, you are automatically disqualified from membership for one semester.
Poor citizenship and/or an accusation of plagiarism may disqualify you from membership.
