How to get started with Destiny Discover

How to log into Destiny Discover
Step 1: Click on the Destiny Discover link here: search.follettsoftware.com/metasearch/ui/38636 or log in using the App on your iPad
Step 2: Click the Log in button (see picture below)
Log in using your OSD username and password (do not use @student.oxnardsd.org after username)
Example login: Mreyes1 Example password: Dec082008
Step 3: Click Submit (see picture below)
How to search and place holds in Destiny Discover
Step 1: Once logged in, type in a book name or author name in the search box. You can also search by reading level.
How to search by reading level: Go to the Filters section on the left side of the screen and click on Accelerated Reader (see picture below). Then type in your reading level and click apply. Now the only books that come up will be in your reading level.
Step 2: Click the hold icon on the book or books that you want to place a hold on (see picture below).
Step 3: You can now click on your name on the top right of the screen to see your holds (see picture below).
If you decide that you do not want those books anymore, you can click the hold icon again and it will delete the hold.
How to pick up your books
Step 1: Once you have placed a hold on a book or books, I will receive a notification. I will check to make sure that we have the book in the Library and that it is in your reading level. At this time, you can only check out two books at a time.
Step 2: Make sure that you do not have any books from last school year. PLEASE RETURN ALL OVERDUE BOOKS!
Step 3: Curbside Library pickup will be every Wednesday from 8:45 am - 2:00 pm.
ALL HOLDS MUST BE PLACED BY TUESDAY AT 12:00 PM TO BE AVAILABLE FOR WEDNESDAY PICKUP.
Step 4: You can pick up your books in front of the school by the Library door. There will be a table and sign.
Step 5: You must return your books before you can check out new books. We will have a book return box in front of the school during school hours.
